Quick and Easy Rice Krispie Bars

This Rice Krispie treat recipe is easy to make and will be a hit at any event, but the best part is that you can actually use any cereal you love. We love to take these to Farmer’s Markets with us. It is a great way to grab the attention of people walking by our booth. Sometimes we just bring Rice Krispie bars, and other times we bring a variety of cereal bars. The options are endless.


It is also a great upsell during our events. Rice Krispie treats and cereal bars have a low price point, which makes them ideal for upselling to people, especially someone who wants to grab something special for little ones. Save this recipe for later.

Quick and Easy Rice Krispie Bars

Recipe Yield: 16 bars

Prep Time: 20 minutes

Max Hold Time: 7 days packaged

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 lb unsalted butter
  • 2 bags mini marshmallows
  • 1 1/2 cups mini marshmallows
  • 18 cups Rice Krispie cereal (or other favorite cereal)
  • Sprinkles for garnish

Directions:

  1. Spray a large metal roasting pan heavily with nonstick spray.
  2. Add Rice Krispies cereal (or other cereal) and 1 1/2 cup of mini marshmallows to a large metal bowl. Mix.
  3. Warm a sauce pan on a stove or hot plate to medium heat.
  4. Add the butter and 2 bags of mini marshmallows to the sauce pan. Stir occasionally until melted. Make sure not to burn the marshmallows
  5. Remove from heat and pour into the cereal mix. Stir quickly until combined.
  6. Using a gloved hand, press mixture into pan and press down until even.
  7. Garnish with either additional mini marshmallows or some cute little sprinkles.
  8. Once cooled, slice the treats into 16 bars.
  9. Package them individually for use. Remember to label your product.
